means of transforming society. Theatre can help us build our future, rather
than just waiting for it.
The First Karachi Theater festival organised by the Dreams theatre Group at Lyari a huge number of people were gathered to watch the live theatre performances at Gabol Hall Bakra Peeri liyari.
Sabeer Ahmed Said that we are arranging these types of theatre festival to show the positive image of lyari to those people who are saying that Lyari is not a peaceful place to go and its no go area so here they can see how lyari people are doing everything very peacefully.
Sabeer Ahmed is the CEO of "Dreams of Youth organization", DOS is working on youth, Education and different activities for youth and working with different organization for the betterment of their society.
This Theatre festival several theater groups participated in it: like Karachi Theatre Production - KTP which is Korangi based youth theater group, their theater were to good and have a message about "Pakistan ki Madad kro" Youth of lyari appreciated their performance and cheers with their performance, as Usama Aslam leading their group had strong motivation to do something for
Pakistan and Karachi arts council group also perform very well and they have a strong message about parents that respected your parents and a comedy type performance it was, they engage audience very well, as this festival was all about theatres and acting there were one participant who did a solo performance and audience liked it very much and appreciated him very much as we are in the society where we don't have any entertainment activities so youth like this festival very much.
Lyari Community stake holders, journalists,Social activists and youth were their in festival, Dreams of youth organized it very beautifully. Salman Barohi a Social Activist of lyari said that we need more festivals like that in lyari to showcase the lyari in more peaceful way and can give message to the people that we are more peaceful then others.
Umeed-e-Zindagi organization form Sultanabad also participated in it for the peace where they came from Sultanabad to lyari, CEO and Founder of Umeed-e-Zindagi organization said that theater was started by the Greeks as a kind of awarness of the conscience. we didn't have theater, he said. Gradually things changed and people adopted the theatre.
